May and Rabitu to Lead Fiji U20 to Junior RWC in South Africa

Former Marist Brothers High School student, Nalani May, will captain the Fiji team to the U20 Rugby World Cup to be held from the 29 June-19 July, 2024 in South Africa.

At a press conference today, coach Apisai Sailada announced the team make-up which included Fijian Drua and Lautoka halfback, Sikeli Rabitu who will help May with the leadership role, Moses Ravula who is the younger brother of Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula, Fijian Drua development players Sikeli Basiyalo and Aisea Nawai. Also amongst those who have played in the Fiji Secondary Schools Deans Rugby competition is is Avakuki Niusalele played for played for Queen Victoria School.

The team are training in the West before they fly out of the country this weekend.

The team is as follows:

Loosehead prop: Mataiasi Tuisireli, Anare Cagi

Hookers: Moses Ravula, Joshua Uluibau, Iowane Vakadrigi

Tighthead Prop: Elroy McComber, Luke Nasau, Breyton Legge

Left Lock: Nalani May, Iliesa Erenavula

Right Lock: Malakai Masi, Simon Koroiyadi

Blindside Flanker: Ebenezer Navula, Nemani Kurucake

Openside Flanker: Sakenasa Senivono, Josua Gonewai

Number 8: Paul Sharma

Scrumhalf: Samuela Ledua, Pauliasi Koroibiau, Aisea Nawai

Flyhalf: Sikeli Rabitu, Bogi Kikau, Ponipate Tuberi

Blindside Wing: Avakuki Niusalele, Waisake Salabiau
