A 44-year-old man suspected of killing a man in his late 40s in Labasa last Thursday has been charged with one count of murder.
Fiji Police said the accused allegedly assaulted the victim who earlier that morning was escorted by authorities to his home after he was found heavily intoxicated outside a nightclub in Labasa.
During the day, police said the victim started developing breathing difficulties. A family member then took him to the Labasa Hospital where he passed away shortly after.
