Fiji’s Ministry of Local Government’s permanent secretary Dimity Fifer has tendered her resignation citing family circumstances.
She will remain in office until the end of next month.
Public Service Commission Chairman Vishnu Mohan confirms that Fifer will complete her term on 28 February after which she plans to return to Australia.
Fifer has been PS for Local Government for almost two years. She took up the post in March 2019.
“An acting appointment for the position of Permanent Secretary for Local Government will be announced in due course.”
