The Fijian Elections Office (FEO) has appointed Craig Rickards, who worked in Fiji’s two previous elections in 2014 and 2018, as Deputy Supervisor for the 2022 General Election.
In 2014, Rickards worked in the area of logistics, and in 2018, as an advisor to the divisional managers.
“Craig brings a wealth of election experience having worked with the Australian Electoral Commission for the last 38 years and having retired in 2021,” Saneem said.
“He is very familiar with the Fijian electoral system and the processes and we look forward to his contribution to the national election this year.”
Apart from Australia and Fiji, Rickards also worked in Tonga, Myanmar and other countries.
He takes over from Anaseini Senimoli who was appointed to the post in an acting capacity in February this year.
