No adverse reactions have been reported since the launch of Ty-Five’s typhoid vaccination campaign in the North in conjunction with the Ministry of Health.
The campaign, which began a month ago, has achieved 44% coverage, with 58,695 individuals vaccinated out of the target population of 133,325.
The organisation says that recent cases reported were among individuals who chose not to receive the vaccine, urging more people to step forward for their dose of protection.
The campaign is open to individuals aged 9 months to 65 years and requires registration with valid photo ID, birth certificate, or COVID vaccination card. Alternative documentation like the Maternal and Child Health card is acceptable if birth certificates are unavailable. Non-Fijian citizens must provide passports and work permits.
