An 18-year-old woman is in police custody after she allegedly attacked her husband with a cane knife at their Delasui village home this week, Fiji Police said in an updated advisory.
In an update yesterday, police had said the woman was allegedly attacked by her 26-year-old husband only to revise the statement hours later.
The victim is admitted to the CWM Hospital in Suva with serious injuries.
Police said the incident happened after 10 pm on Friday.
“The 18-year old suspect allegedly struck her husband with a cane knife during a heated argument causing serious injuries,” police said in a statement.
