Two fatalities in Viseisei Bypass vehicle fire: Police

Fiji Police recovered the remains of two bodies from a vehicle that burst into flames after it crashed into a tree along the Viseisei Bypass Road in Lautoka this morning.

The vehicle, Fijian authorities said was travelling towards Lautoka from Nadi when it veered off the road, crashing into the tree, around 6am today.

“Due to the impact of the accident, the vehicle caught fire where unfortunately the two victims were trapped inside.”

The identity of the victims is still to be confirmed.

Investigations continue.
