Tropical depression 10F (TD10F) has strengthened into a category cyclone one system named Tropical Cyclone Fili.
It was located to the northwest of New Caledonia at midday today, and in its current path is unlikely to post any direct threat to Fiji, the country’s weather office says.
The Fiji Meteorological Service said it would continue to monitor this weather event and update warnings and forecasts accordingly.
