Fiji’s Banuve Tabakaucoro put up another improved showing on day two of the 2022 Oceania Area Championship, with an improved showing in the senior men’s 200m.
Tabakaucoro sliced seconds off previous time for a season-best, in the finals in a progressive build-up to the 2022 Pacific Mini Games in the Northern Marianas next week.
The reigning 200m Pacific Games gold medallist clocked 21:37s, not his best run as opposed to his 20.87s dash in the 2019 Pacific Games, but an improvement nevertheless when compared to his previous season-best of 21.63s.
In the U18s 200m event, Nicholaus Pareti clocked 23.65s for his best finish. Ezekiel Singh clocked 2 minutes and 24.47 seconds in the U18 men’s 800m.
The competition finishes on Saturday 11 June. Meanwhile, the 2022 Mini Pacific Games is scheduled for 17-25 June.
