Suva Grammar School’s strength was all round as they stamped dominance at the competitive Suva Zone II, beginning with a record in one of the early events, the 1500m race.
The new record was set in the sub junior boys grade of the Zone which ended this hour at the ANZ National Stadium by young Manoa Puamau.
Puamau broke the last record set in 2018 with the time of 5m 19.92s.
The Nasaqalau native from Lakeba in Lau said he was excited to come out victorious in the event.
“First of all I want to thank the lord and I’m very happy to win the 1500 competition yesterday”
“I’ve been training since last year and I’m looking forward to the Coca-cola games,” Puamau said
