Suva Grammar School’s Subjunior boys team set the only new record in the 4*100m relay competition at the Suva Zone II which will soon end at the ANZ National Stadium at Laucala.
The team clocked 48.44s, breaking the old record of 51.19s set in 2018 by a team of their own.
It was also the school’s only gold medal in the boys division of the 4x100m relay competition.
Marist won the 4x100m relay in the other three grade; junior, intermediate and senior.
However, in the girls division it was Grammar again that dominated. Salote Baravilala claimed her third gold medal of the Suva Zone II after successfully anchoring their senior girls relay team.
Grammar also won the subjunior and junior grades whilst St Joseph’s Secondary School won the intermediate race.
