Suva defeated Oneata by eight wickets and Moce accounted for Lakeba by three to secure their spots in the semi-finals of Cricket Fiji’s Association Cup.
However, it was the losing teams that won the toss and elected to bat first in their 50-over cup quarter-final encounters.
The win means Suva and Moce progress to the main semi-finals to play Nadi and Ono-i-Lau respectively. The grand final is scheduled for Thursday. However, games continue tomorrow at Albert Park with the plate semi-finals, featuring the losing quarter-finalists – Oneata will face Komo and Lakeba take on Namuka.
