A 42-year-old woman from Olosara in Sigatoka, allegedly obtained $967 from two people on separate occasions after hacking into their MPAISA accounts. She gained access after acquiring the victims’ personal information via Facebook.

The accused has since been arrested and charged. She will be appearing at the Sigatoka Magistrate Court today.

“Members of the public are reminded not to share personal information online.  Passwords, OTP’s and any other information used for personal accounts must never be shared, especially through any online interactions as it could be used against you.”
