Sitiveni Rabuka has resigned from SODELPA, effective today.
Fiji’s former Leader of Opposition reaffirmed the news to MaiTV via the provision of a copy of his resignation sent to SODELPA executives including party president Ratu Epenisa Cakobau and Supervisor of Elections and Registrar Mohammed Saneem.
In a Facebook posting, as he sent his resignation, Rabuka stated that his political career was far from over and that he was ‘repositioning’ himself’ as the party had become untenable.
MaiTV understand that talks are underway about forming a new party.
