Ono Leads Suva Darts Open League After Six Weeks of Play

Newcomers Ono Darts remain undefeated in the Fintel Sponsored Suva Darts Open League, heading the latest standings with 12 points as the competition heads into its final week of round one of games.

The Nathan Homes and Movements International Fiji-sponsored side cemented their spot atop the standings following an 8-3 win against Traps in this week’s round of games that was held at the Defence Club two days ago.

Titans are closely following Ono Darts with 11 points, after earning a hard-fought 6-5 victory against Tanoa 3D’s. Permal Construction Friends United and Traps are tied at 10 points, with the former beating King’s Darts 7-4.

Tanoa 3D’s have nine points, King’s Darts with seven points, and Cool Ladies and Defence Club bring up the tail end of the standings with six points each. This week, Raj Chandra of Ono Darts and Warran Ascroft of Defence Club were the top performers, both hitting 171.

In addition to the league, dart enthusiasts can look forward to another tournament, starting August 3 at the Royal Suva Yacht Club. Sponsored by Concrete Solution Fiji Limited, the tournament will feature a format of 501, with one team game of triples, doubles best of three, and singles best of three.
