Man accused of church break-in, robbery to appear in court

A man in his 20s residing in Cunningham accused of breaking in and stealing items from a church and a pastor’s residence last month is due to appear before a magistrates court in Nasinu today.

He has been charged with one count of sacrilege, two counts of theft, and two counts of burglary.

According to Fiji Police, the incident happened on 28 March. The accused allegedly broke into the church located in Nakasi and the pastor’s residence and stole electronic items, power tools, and personal belongings.

Investigators have managed to recover some of the stolen items.
