Meanwhile, a heavy rain alert has been issued for the Northern Division, Yasawa Group, Mamanuca Group, Lau Group, and Lomaiviti Group. Anticipate rain, thunderstorms, and isolated heavy falls in these areas from tomorrow, spreading to the rest of the country on Sunday. Starting Sunday, strong southeast winds are expected over various land areas, including Yasawa Group, coastal regions from Sigatoka to Suva to Rakiraki, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau Group, Lomaiviti Group, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and eastern Macuata.

A strong wind warning is in effect for all Fiji Waters.
