Josua Tuisova scored a hat trick in Lyon’s drubbing of Bayonne to ink his name atop the French Top 14 try-scorers leaderboard.
Popularly known as the ‘The Bus’, Tuisova scored two tries in the first half and his third, with four minutes on the clock, in the 62-10 thrashing of Bayonne in one of the Top 14 games this week. He joins South Africa and Toulouse winger Cheslin Kolbe at the top of the try-scoring tally with five tries each.
Fiji-born Noa Nakaitaci also scored a try in the win. The win sees Lyon move up to fifth on the standings. Former New Zealand 7s winger Joe Ravouvou scored a try for Bayonne.
Tuisova is one of 32 players named in the Flying Fijians squad for their November Test matches against France, Scotland and Italy. He was also part of the Fiji 7s team that won Gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He earned his Test debut on the right wing in the 27-22 win over Scotland at the ANZ Stadium in Suva late June, 2017.
