Hekari United Score in Extra Time To Deny Labasa

In a hard-fought semi-final match, Labasa Women were denied a spot in the OFC Women’s Champions League final after losing to Hekari United 2-0 in extra time.

Neither side were able to break the deadlock in regular time. The Babasiga Lions women had chances of breaking the deadlock then, but faltered in their finishing.

The Papua New Guinea side came out firing in the additional 30 minutes of play, with Nenny Elipas and Christie Maneu scoring crucial goals in the 100th and 114th minutes respectively to seal their victory, and a spot in the finale.

Hekari United progress to the main finale where they will play Auckland City who also qualified from their semis encounter in a similar fashion.

They defeated Tafea FC 2-1 in extra time.
