Flying Fijian prop signs with Welsh club

Fijian prop Mesake Doge who featured in the Flying Fijians run-on side in the two recent Tests against the All Blacks has reportedly signed with a Welsh club.

The 28-year-old joins the Dragons from French Top 14 side Brive, a report on the Wales Rugby Union website said.

“I’m delighted to be joining Dragons. After speaking with Dean and the coaching team, I was very impressed with their vision for the region and their plans for my development. To have the opportunity to compete against the very best in the United Rugby Championship and to be joining such a talented squad is truly a blessing. I can’t wait to begin my journey with Dragons,” Doge said.

Doge played at tighthead in both Tests against the All Blacks. He made his debut for the Flying Fijians against Georgia in 2016, where he also made the starting line-up.
