Fiji has recorded five new cases, all belonging to a household in Muanikoso, one of whom works at Extra Supermarket.
In their latest update, the ministry said the five had been placed under home quarantine following the discovery of the cluster last week.
The ministry has also flagged a “potential high-risk case for transmission” emanating from case 190 (who was announced yesterday), who had worked until two days ago given the nature of his job.
“He is a driver for a security company and was working up until Wednesday, May 19th. Therefore, the public should expect to see extensive contact tracing activities ongoing in the Suva-Nausori area.
There are now 62 active cases in isolation.
