Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women’s coach Mosese Rauluni has thanked the media in promoting women’s rugby in Fiji.
Rauluni says that the media has helped spread positive messages about the importance of women’s rugby in Fiji.
“The media plays a vital role in spreading the importance of rugby amongst our women and our girls and we also acknowledge the media in their roles in promoting the hard work of the girls in the Fijian Drua squad.”
Rauluni also encouraged the Fiji public to support the girls as they prepare to depart for Australia to face the might of Waratahs in the final of the Super W competition on Sunday.
“This is your team, Fiji. We ask for your prayers and support as the girls get ready for this very important game of the year, the final. We want to protect the title and while the girls have been giving their all on the field at training, we also ask for your support.”
The game will be played at the Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane at 4pm this Sunday.
