Fijian citizens in New Zealand to return

Fijian citizens in New Zealand can return home via a flight on Wednesday, May 13.  Fiji Airways confirmed that its airline FJ1412 will be servicing the repatriation flight, departing Auckland at 4.40pm and arriving in Nadi at 7.45 pm.

With COVID-restrictions still enforced, the airline has advised that only Fiji citizens (Fijian passport holders) are eligible to enter the country. Fijians arriving Wednesday, will go into mandatory self isolation at designated government facilities for 28 days. 

“They will not be able to go to their homes or residences. Per the directive of authorities, transit passengers cannot be uplifted on evacuation and repatriation flights to Fiji,” the airline said.

Guests holding unused Fiji Airways’ tickets for Auckland-Nadi flights are also able to book themselves on this flight at no additional cost by contacting Fiji Airways Reservations with their booking reference details at hand. Limited seats are available on all evacuation and repatriation flights.
