The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) has signed a three-year deal with Viti Technology Solutions PTE Limited, which will provide technological solutions including hardware and peripherals to the union, as well as to the Flying Fijians, Fijiana, Fijian Warriors, Fijian Under-20, and domestic competitions.
The signing, worth over $100,000, took place at the Rugby House in Suva today.
FRU Operations Manager Sale Sorovaki expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating that “VT Solutions will enable them to meet their ICT requirements.”
Meanwhile, VT Solutions Managing Director and CEO Shailesh Sharma said that “To be able to collaborate with FRU at this level and provide them with world-class technology solutions is a privilege that we are appreciative of and fully committed to honoring.
“Our family is very passionate about rugby, and it’s always been our collective desire to contribute to Fiji rugby in a meaningful way.”
In addition to the technological partnership, VT Solutions has also come on board to sponsor the Fijiana Drua Fans Player of the Match Awards for the annual Super W competition.
The award will be exclusively associated with VT Solutions’ online store brand, www.tuivt.com. The Fijiana Drua Fans Player of the Super W competition award will also include an annual cash bonus to be shared amongst the players whenever they win the league’s main title, which encompasses the 2023 grand finale against the Reds this Saturday.
Sharma added, “To directly contribute to the evolution of women’s rugby in Fiji, by recognising and rewarding the efforts and hard work put in by our courageous and gallant Fijiana Drua players – that is deeply meaningful.”
