Rugby players born after 2002 who are keen to try out for the Fiji Under-20 team preparing for the Oceania U20 tournament in Australia in July are invited to submit their expressions of interest to the Fiji Rugby Union.
High-Performance Unit National Teams Manager Bill Gadolo said the invitation is also extended to overseas-based players who will be given a cut-off date to be in Fiji to be considered for selection.
Gadolo said: “These players will be considered for selection into the Vodafone Fijian Under-20 team which will prepare for the Oceania Under-20 tournament scheduled to be held in July at the Sunshine Coast in Australia. Those selected will be contacted by Vodafone Fijian Under-20 Head Coach Iferemi Rawaqa and his team.
“After we have received the expression of interest from the players we will then organize players in manageable groups for Fitness Testing, screening and later list Trial Teams for final selections.”
Interested players are advised to contact Iferemi Rawaqa +679 9435836 and email relevant documents to ifereimi.rawaqa@fijirugby.net
Players are requested to send in their expression of interest before Saturday, 29 January, and should expect the team management to finalise and release a fitness testing list early February.
