Australia, India and Indonesia will co-lead the Multinational Observer Group (MOG) for Fiji’s 2022 Elections.
The three countries reaffirmed their participation as co-chairs of the MOG, for the third consecutive time, by way of signing a Terms of Reference with the Fijian Government in Suva today.
They also co-chaired the MOG in the country’s previous elections in 2014 and 2018.
As their name suggests, the MOG will observe and evaluate the conduct of Fiji’s 2022 election.
Fiji’s Attorney General and minister responsible for elections Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says there are no restrictions on the number of observers or the countries to be part of the MOG.
