COVID-19 Fiji: Zero adverse events among vaccinated children – Health

No adverse reaction or reports of concern have so far been reported by nearly 18,000 children aged between 15 and 17 years who have received at least one dose of the Moderna vaccine to date, Fijian health authorities say.

Since 20 September, 17,996 children have received their first dose of the vaccine, and is expected to increase when the program resumes next week, starting Monday, 4 October.

The postponement, the Ministry of Health says is to allow for input of the children’s vaccination coverage so far in the digital registry for ease of access.

For the adult population, 591785 adults or 95.7 per cent have received at least one dose, and 437,730 or 70.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.
