Aims to make schools safe when classes resume

The Ministry of Health is putting in place measures to ensure that schools in Fiji are free of COVID 19 contamination once schools open.

The comment was made by Chief Medical Advisor for the Ministry Dr Jemesa Tudravu while speaking at the annual Fiji Principal’s Association’s online meeting yesterday.

“We are working with everyone involved in the education of children to try and minimize the virus coming into the schools when it reopens.”

“As part of our Key focus areas, we are working on measures to keep the schools safe and clean and looking at how to contain it if it does come into schools.” Dr Tudravu said.

The meeting ends today.
