Fiji’s Ministry of Transport says it has no comments on the statement by Goundar Shipping Limited about closing their business due to “double standards and bias” within MSAF and the ministry.
“GSL is a private business and it makes its own decisions with regards to its operations,” the Ministry stated.
This is not the first time company owner George Goundar has threatened to close his business. He previously did so in 2013 and 2018.
In the meantime, it seems Goundar Shipping has deleted their post declaring their closure. But the statement has been screenshot and widely circulated.
