Authorities revert curfew hours to COVID-19 timing

January 30, 2021

Fijian authorities have reinstated COVID-19 curfew hours nationwide, ie, from 11 pm to 4 am daily, based on the latest projected path of Tropical Cyclone Ana.

National Disaster Management Office Director Vasiti Soko made the announcement in a press update a while ago.

However, authorities are pleading with the general public to avoid non-essential movements in light of the severe weather impact associated with TC Ana.

“Please refrain from non-essential movements and remain indoors, inside homes and evacuation centres. Despite the shift in cyclone path, heavy rain, strong winds and flooding will be experienced across Fiji.”
