Fijian Drua Philip Baselala, along with three development players Aisea Tuisese, Aisea Nawai and Sikeli Basiyalo, have been selected to play for the Fiji Under 20 team in the Oceania Rugby U20 Championship to be held in New Zealand.
Baselala’s inclusion means he reunites with his fellow former Suva Grammar Under-18 mates including Inia Tudrau.
Joining them will be former Marist Brothers High School student Nalani May and New Zealand schoolboy Sam Chapman.
The team consists of the following players:- Loosehead Props: Joe Toe, Tuisireli Matai, Luke Nasau- Hookers: Iowane Vakadrigi, Josh Uluibau- Tight Heads: Eroni Sarasau, Sairusi Laqere, Naiteqe Irinabulou- Locks: Nalani May, Malakai Masi, Iliesa Erenavula, Nemani Kurucake- Loose Forward: Ebenezer Navula, Sakenasa Nalasi, Inia Tudrau, Rupeni Nakiyoyo, Sam Chapman- Half Back: Philip Baselala, Aisea Nawai, Netava Saukuru- Inside: Ponipate Tuberi, Seremaia Tuiqamea- Centres: Josefa Ubitau, Sivaniolo Lumelume, Aisea Tuisese.
The Fiji U20 team will play three games on February 27, March 2 and March 6.
