Twenty-nine people were charged with 60 counts of sexual offenses in November including a 19-year-old woman charged with the abduction, rape and sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, and a 63-year-old man who rape d his son’s 19-year-old girlfriend.
Incidents also involved familial relationships, with cases of rape against nieces, spouses, nephews, cousins and defacto partners. A 19-year-old was charged with the rape of his 14-year-old nephew, a 35-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 15-year-old niece while in another incident, a 22-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 12-year-old niece. There was one incident where a 35-year-old man was charged with the rape and assault with intent to commit rape of his 28-year-old wife. He was also charged with the breach of domestic violence restraining order. In another incident a 48-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 57-year-old cousin. A 20-year-old man was charged with the sexual assault of his 13-year-old cousin.
There was also an incident where a 57-year-old man was charged with four counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of phonographic activities involving a 14-year-old girl.
