Tropical Depression TD01F which developed off the Solomon Islands last week, has now intensified into a tropical cyclone and has been named Lola, reaching Category 2 status.
According to the Fiji Meteorological Office, TC Lola is projected to further intensify into a Category 3 system while positioned in the far southern regions of the Solomon Islands and the northern areas of Vanuatu.
The current analysis indicates that TC Lola does not pose a direct threat to the Fiji Group.
