A 6-month-old baby boy died after he was trapped in a house fire in Nadonumai yesterday afternoon, police said.
Rescue attempts made by the victim’s relatives were unfortunately futile due to the intensity of the fire which also spread to a house next door.
A man in his 70s also sustained burns and is admitted to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established as joint investigations with the National Fire Authority continue.
