The Fijian Elections Office voter registration drive has as of day 20 attended to nearly 80,000 voters, of which nearly 8500 are registering for the first time.
In an update to political parties at the FEO office in Suva, Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said that as of yesterday, their officers have served 77,451 voters, 8316 of them are new registrations.
Since 26 April when the drive started, FEO officers have visited 626 villages and over 85 settlements. The numbers however exclude data from FEO teams in the maritime islands and the hinterlands.
The voter awareness drive ends on Saturday 2 April.
