Two youths are set to appear in the Nausori Magistrates Court today, facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle from Waituri, Nausori.
The alleged incident took place sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. The 36-year-old owner of the vehicle realised that his car was missing when he woke up on Saturday morning and promptly reported the matter to the police.
Police officers recovered the stolen vehicle near Korovou in Tailevu.
The two accused individuals, who also reside in Waituri, have since been charged. The first accused, a 19-year-old, is facing one count of theft and one count of damaging property. The second accused, a 21-year-old, has been charged with one count of theft.
