Fiji Roads is advising all motorists to avoid Waidamudamu bridge on Nakorotari Road in Labasa.
Part of the bridge caught fire this morning making it unsafe for use.
Members of the public are advised to use the alternative route through Nakorotari Crossing and Siberia Road.
Officers from the National Fire Authority is on site and will arrange for repair works once Fiji Police complete their investigation.
