Jovesa Vuase of Ravuka Sharks leads the men’s try scorers with six tries, while Sheridan Gallagher from Manly Mermaids tops the women’s division with the same count heading into the final day of the 2024 McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s.
Despite Vuase’s standout performance, Ravuka Sharks were eliminated in the Cup quarterfinals, setting up a Plate Semifinal against Ratu Filise.
Uluibau Rt Savenaca of Army is second in the men’s try scorers list with five tries followed by a host of players at three tries each including Fiji Babaas’ Ropate Rere.
In the women’s division, Fijiana 7s’ and Fresh’et Navy’s Mereseini Naidau is among five players tied for second.
Competition resumes at Lawaqa Park at 8.45am today with the Women’s Second Bowl Semifinal featuring Western Drifters and Ba Originals. The winner will progress to the Bowl Finals to take on Manly Mermaids.
The Coral Coast 7s 2024 wraps up with the Cup Final matches. The women’s finale is scheduled for 5pm and the men’s at 5.30pm.
