The Fijian Elections Office will be carrying out another round of targeted voter registration this weekend, this time in the West, starting Friday.
Fiji’s Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said 43 venues would be opened in the western division, from Sigatoka to Rakiraki, collectively manned by about 187 FEO staff.
“You can update your voter card details such as your residential address, and you can also upgrade to the latest voter card if you have lost your voter card,” Mr Saneem said.
“This is a very big number of teams targeted to one particular division of the country because we want to ensure that as many Fijians as possible are able to access voter services during this weekend.”
Mr Saneem also reminded the voting public, especially those who have not updated their details and/or cards that once the election writ is issued, voter registration, as well as updating or upgrading of cards, would cease.
