Fiji Police have confirmed the death of one of the victims involved in the multi-vehicle accident in Lautoka yesterday.
Identified as one of the two pedestrians struck during the incident near Saweni, the victim succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Lautoka Hospital.
The 29-year-old driver alleged to have bumped the rear of a car which resulted in the accident remains in custody as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, in the case involving a 10-year-old in Tovata, Makoi, authorities have been able to locate the driver who has been questioned.
The 10-year-old remains admitted in stable condition.
