The University of the South Pacific has confirmed that they have shut down the halls of residences as a precautionary measure after some students were identified last night as secondary contacts of positive COVID19 individuals.
“Five residential students have been swabbed by MOHMS as secondary contacts to a contact to a positive case,” USP communications manager Vineeta Nand told Mai TV.
“As a precaution, and observing all COVID protocols and government restrictions, we have closed the Halls to unnecessary movement whilst we await the swab test results.”
“We await further advice from MOHMS.”
