TSLS-sponsored students returning from overseas can now delist their guarantors immediately upon arrival at Nadi International Airport, thanks to new self-service kiosks.
The kiosks are located in the International Arrivals Concourse near the baggage claim area. They are designed to simplify a process that previously required students to visit Tertiary Scholarships & Loans Service offices. Students travelling under a “Temporary Travel Release” must have listed guarantors while abroad, and it is their responsibility to delist them upon returning to Fiji.
Using the kiosks, students check their eligibility by scanning a QR code on their travel release, take a photo for identification, scan their passport biodata page, and submit the delisting request. TSLS reviews each application and, once approved, notifies the Immigration Department to remove the guarantor from the stop-departure list. Both students and guarantors are emailed confirmation.
According to a TSLS statement issued this afternoon, the kiosks can complete the process in under two minutes. Guides and video tutorials are available on the TSLS website and social media pages.
Dr Apisalome Movono, TSLS Chief Executive Officer, said the kiosks underlines the organisation’s commitment to improving service delivery and making administrative processes more efficient.
