A one-year-old child died after being struck by a falling coconut tree in Davuilevu Housing.
The incident occurred while the child was outside his home with his mother yesterday. The old coconut tree unexpectedly fell, critically injuring the child.
The child was taken to Nakasi Health Center but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
