Teen charged over phone theft, accomplice at large

Fijian Police have charged a 15-year-old suspected of assaulting and robbing a 14-year-old of his phone at a bus shelter in Naduru, Nausori last week.

Authorities are also looking for the accused’s accomplice who remains at large.

Chief Operations Officer ACP Abdul Khan said the incident occurred last Wednesday.

“The victim was walking to the shop when he was confronted by two youths who allegedly assaulted him and stole his mobile phone,” police said.

The 15-year-old has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery.
