Swire Shipping has extended its support as the exclusive naming rights sponsor of the Fijian Drua for an additional two years.
The shipping and logistics solutions provider, and the Fijian Super Rugby Pacific franchise renewed their partnership in Nadi today.
Alex Pattison, Swire Shipping’s Regional Manager for the Pacific Islands said he was delighted at the extension.
“As a longstanding supporter of sport in Fiji, we recognise the significant role that rugby plays in the nation’s culture and the impact it has on communities across the country. We are incredibly proud of what the Drua have achieved, both on and off the field, and hope that our ongoing partnership will give the Drua vuvale (family) the continuity and support they need to continue representing the hopes and aspirations of Fijians at the highest level of international rugby competition.”
Swire Shipping has been closely associated with Fiji rugby since 2017 and is also the naming rights sponsor of the Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors, who participate in the Pacific Nations Cup.
Mark Evans, Fijian Drua CEO, expressed his gratitude towards Swire Shipping, saying that their support “demonstrates a real commitment to the Pacific in general and Fiji in particular.”
