Suva Zone II: Francis breaks 36 year record

Suva Grammar School intermediate boys high jump champion Kaiava Francis has broken at 36 year old record at the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 competition currently taking place at the ANZ National Stadium at Laucala.
The lad from Wailevu, Macuata, only needed one attempt to set the new record of 1.95m jump.
“I am very proud of myself because I’ve been training since off season and I’m thankful for support from the Grammar family,” Francis said.
The sixth form student broke the 1.90m record set in 1984 by Manasa Cama also of SGS.
The form 6 science student who will also compete in the the triple jump event won the gold medal at this event in last years Coca-Cola Games Finals.
