Skill With Right Attitude Vital: Kamikamica

“You may have the skill but if you don’t have the right attitude to go with it, you won’t go far in rugby league.”

These were words spoken by Melbourne Storm player and Fiji Bati captain Tui Kamikamica.

He encouraged Fijian youngsters to take up the 13-player code but said that without discipline and a humble attitude, the culture around the game can affect one.

“Rugby league is more than just a game. It’s a way of life and many, many young people in Fiji can have a good future in the sport.”

“So many opportunities are there. I’m an example I played during my teen years and was found by scouts look where I am today.”

Kamikamica plans to do more work with the young people from his island home of Taveuni.
