US-based Asinate Serevi, the youngest daughter of Fiji 7s maestro Waisale Serevi has joined the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua squad, one of four new overseas-based players roped into the Fijiana XVs mix ahead of the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand later in the year.

Serevi who plays her rugby with Scion Rugby is joined by GPS Rugby Club utility forward Anna Nasalo, Canberra-based Brumbies player Talei Wilson and rugby league convert Luisa Yaranamua from West Habour RC.

They are part of a 32-member squad head coach Senirusi Seruvakula has named for the Test matches against Japan and Wallaroos, on 1 May and 7 May respectively in Australia, a campaign the national XVs side heads into bolstered by Roosters Chicken after announcing it was extending its support to encompass the Tests.

FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor said: “We would like to say a big Vinaka Vakalevu to Rooster Chicken for their support in assisting the Fijiana Drua to win the Super W Championship title last weekend in Melbourne and then accepting our offer to assist the Fijiana 15’s during the two important test matches.”
