Sentence hearing for a former CEO of a publicly listed company found guilty of indecently assaulting a woman in his office two year ago is scheduled for this Wednesday.
The victim may take the stand on the same day as well.
The former company executive appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili in court today for mitigation and sentencing submission after he was found guilty last Friday. He was also given extended bail.
Court documents showed that the offender “unlawfully and indecently assaulted [the victim …whose name has been suppressed] by hugging her, and sniffing and kissing her neck whilst rubbing her back” when they were in his office in Suva on 15 May 2019.
