190 new soldiers who graduated from the RFMF Basic Recruit Course on Friday were encouraged to work hard at the tasks they were assigned and not allow negative comments about the RFMF deter them from their responsibilities.
Speaking to the members of Batch 1 of 2024, His Excellency the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere said the RFMF plays a key role in helping uphold law and order therefore the new soldiers should continue to learn and take each day as it comes.
“Remember that RFMF plays a very crucial role in maintaining law and order in international security situations. Put your months of endurance and pain into practice and go forth to uphold the high ideals and standards forged through the years by your predecessors.”
“Without a doubt, the training you have gone through has instilled in you discipline, self-confidence, and obedience, which are the most important to be demonstrated at all times. This is the foundation of your career within RFMF.”
President Katonivere acknowledged the assistance rendered by the New Zealand Defense Force in the preparation and training of the new soldiers.
